Well it is and in 2020 I think we are all seeing the impact of how are daily lives changing impacts our mental health. Loss of jobs, relationships, and sense of hopelessness are just a few factors that impact our mental health. Another component that many of us are facing is shared trauma! This looks like continuously watching Black People die due to police brutality, seeing the violence done to Trans-Black Women, death due to COVD-19, attacks on immigrations policies, and the list goes on.
Personally, social media has helped me keep in the loop of all that has happened! But it has also been one of the causes of my stress because we are so connected. It is okay to take a break and take a step back.
In this episode we discuss warning signs for suicide and ways social media impacts our mental health.
