Welcome to the first episode of "As I Was Saying..." Podcast this episode was kind of done on the fly but thats how most of my choices are made. Today we touched base on why I started this podcast, who I am, and what you can expect from me. From there we moved into the topic that made me just start the podcast and that was reading a BuzzFeed article about Beatrice Dixon's, Target ad for her company Honey Pot Co. I was so taken away by the commentary on her ad that a discussion was created under my platform the She Will Speak Series. It got me thinking on Black Women owned business and how we continue to disrespect them and having a business myself this was something I could not hold anymore. So this episode was born!
